About Me

My interest in natural therapies began when I was pregnant with my first child. I was a dental nurse and saw the benefits of preventive dentistry on the long-term health of people's teeth. I wanted this same ideology for my own health and that of my family.

I decided to raise my children in an environment free of chemicals and meet their health needs without the use of drugs. I looked for natural ways of healing and creating continual health and am pleased to say my four children have grown into happy healthy adults. I most certainly had the same challenges as most parents with childhood illnesses but each time I was able to find ways of dealing with their health that fit my intention for my family and me.

I studied Naturopathy at the Australian College of Natural Medicine in Camberwell and completed the Advanced Diploma of Natural Medicine in 2000. My qualifications cover the use of herbs, homoeopathy, nutritional medicine and iridology. I continue to stay abreast of the latest developments in naturopathy by participating in ongoing education. In 2009 I added a certificate in homotoxicology to my qualifications as I felt this knowledge to be an important adjunct to my work. Homotoxicology is a modern and sophisticated form of homoeopathy. This branch of homoeopathy is the most prescribed form of natural medicine in Germany where it has been used for over 50 years and practised by both conventional doctors and natural therapists.

I take the position that a holistic approach to health is one, which incorporates mind, body and spirit. In this way I endeavour to support you to create health and vitality in the your life. My naturopathic approach does not just treat symptoms but looks for what is behind or underneath the symptoms as I consider treating symptoms as band aiding the real problem and therefore only provides temporary relief. My aim is to identify the underlying cause and provide treatments accordingly. By treating effects rather than causes the results are long lasting or permanent.
